MEIZU Officially Announced The New MX Quad Core Smartphone
Chinese electronics giant Meizu announced its Meizu MX quad core smartphone on Monday. The major highlight in the MEIZU MX Quad-core smartphone is being the first quad core smartphone in the world to use the latest and powerful Exynos A9 quad-core processor.
Meizu MX Quad Core Smartphone – Features
As mentioned earlier, the device is equipped with 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor from Samsung which is rumored to be coming in the upcoming and much anticipated Samsung’s Galaxy S3. According to Miezu’s press release, the innovative Exynos processor has been optimized to reduce CPU power consumption by up to 20%. Also its battery capacity has been increased to 1,700 mAh compare to 1600 mAh in previous Meizu MX. Claiming the Exynos processor as superior compare to other processor in the market, Meizu promised a 60 percent faster CPU performance as well as 50 percent faster GPU in its new quad core smartphone than its predecessor.
Meizu MX Quad Core Smartphone – Other Features
The new Meizu MX quad core smartphone features a 4-inch, 292 ppi high density ASV capacitive touch display with 960×640 pixel resolution. It boasts an 8 mega pixel BSI rear camera. The new Meizu MX is running on Meizu’s own “Flyme” operating system which is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
As far as the storage capacity is concerned, the new Meizu MX quad core smartphone comes only in 32GB and 64GB versions which are expectedly un-expandable. Interestingly the 16GB version is absent. The Meizu MX also offers MX back covers in five colors in addition to the original white.
This quad core smartphone from Meizu is reported to enter in the retail stores in China and Hong Kong in June this year. Meizu MX Quad-core will be available for sale in MEIZU’s 400 retail stores with a price tag of ¥2,999 ($475) for the 32GB and ¥3,999 ($633) for 64GB models. The company also reportedly reduced the price for the original 16GB dual-core MX to ¥2,399 ($380). However, no international plans for this quad core smartphone reported yet.
