Instagram 2.5 Launched For iPhone, Brings Several Tweaks
Instagram 2.5 has been released for the iPhone bringing numerous tweaks that includes a revamped profile tab, search for users and tags, improved commenting, and much more. The app got its first major overhaul since its acquisition by Facebook for more than USD 1 billion back in April. However, those updates do not change its core functionality.
Instagram 2.5 – Full change log :
- Revamped profile tab
- Search for users and tags in the Explore tab Improvements to commenting
- User search auto completes based on people you follow
- Visual improvements
- Speed optimization
- Optionally share likes to Facebook (enable in your Profile > Sharing Settings > Facebook)
The new updates are mostly visual enhancements. The Instagram 2.5 features an all new Explore tab for browsing hashtags and usernames, search auto complete, and a revamped profile. After receiving these updates, camera opens a lot speedier now. Loading images and comments seems to be quicker than before.
The major innovation comes out of these updates is its Explore tab that replace the “Popular” section that showed photos with the most likes. Explore tab has a new search bar at the top for searching users and hashtags and a new navigational icon.
