Go Tech Throws Two Low Cost Tablets For Rs.3,999 & 6,999
A Delhi based Tablet Company Go Tech Digital Pvt. Ltd has announced two low cost tablets touted as Funtab Fusion and Fonetab into Indian market. The Funtab Fusion is priced at Rs.3,999, while the Fonetab, which comes with a SIM slot, will be available in the market for Rs.6,999.
The company aims to sell around ten thousand units of those tablets in the next quarter. The company is also planning to throw three or four similar types of tablets in the market this year.
Both the low cost tablets Funtab Fusion and Fonetab features a 7-inch Resistive touch TFT-LCD display with a resolution support of 800×480 pixels. Both these tablets have an 800 Mhz Processor.
Pixatel Systems Asia, which is offering Android-based application suite to these low cost tablets, told that the Funtab will deliver innovative content through funBazaar app store.
Low Cost Tablets – Funtab Fusion
The cheaper out of these two low cost tablets is Funtab Fusion. The tablet comes with a 7 inch resistive display, the Funtab Fusion runs on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The tablet is powered by 800 Mhz processor with support of 256MB of RAM. Funtab Fusion comes equipped with Wi-Fi, though Bluetooth support is missing. It also supports 3G connectivity but again, like other low cost tablets hanging around the Indian Market, require external USB dongle for it.
The Funtab Fusion has 2GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB by way of micro SD card. The device has also gives a 0.3 megapixel front camera for video chats and 3.5 mm audio jack. The tablet runs on a 2800mAh battery.
Low Cost Tablets – Fonetab
The next tablet Fonetab is costlier version just because of its sim card capability and slightly higher RAM. Fonetab features the same 7-inch touch screen with dual touch capability. The tablet has a GSM 900/1800 frequency support. The other features includes front VGA camera, USB Port 2.0, a miniUSB, external memory card slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Fonetab is powered by a 3600mAh battery.
The company will reportedly roll out these low cost tablets nationwide on June 1. The devices will be available through online shopping sites like Flipkart.
